When it comes to luxurious Interiors ,It has been a practice to use expensive stones on the floor.For instance An Italian Marble.Its not only Italy ,beautiful stones are also sourced from Spain , Vietnam etc.Oh yes! India has its sources of Stones.like an Indian White Marble – grainless /figureless , crystalline dazzling - Makrana Marble as in Tajmahal . Thats not all .....see these Indian stones –

Remember most of the Italian marbles that come to India are Soft,Brittle ,so they are given Fibre net backing , Resin coating & a strong stone edging so that crack should not start from the edges.And moreover there are Big holes in them which are filled with matching coloured stone,resin & powder mixes.Still if we want to use Italian stones there are some good choices other than these common ones - Dyna , Bottochino , Crema Marfil , Emperador , Lavante,Portoro,etc .Look at these uncommons........

If you have a big floor, add some interesting pattern to it that adds to the luxury of your interiors.It can be done by adding a contrasting or a blending stone in an intricate design by inlay like this.......
